Material: | Synthetic rubber |
Color | Blue&Black, White&Black |
System resistance | 10e6 Ω |
Ribbon Length | 400-450mm (can be custom) |
Size | Free size ( extra large size could be custom) |
Conductive strip: | earthing resistance of static electricity 10e6Ω |
Feature: | * 1. ESD heel straps allow freedom of movement around the EPA environment without the restriction of a wrist strap ground cord leashing you to a bench. * 2. The nylon ribbon should make contact with skin, or at minimum, with the sweaty moisture in your shoes in order to provide a path to ground for the static electricity. * 3. Anti-static foot grounder avoids the earthing line when walking in the range of conductive area and is the best choice of workshop and garage. * 4. The principle is that the earthing line in socks will remove static of body through earthing foot grounder, conductive mat and the earthing line. So the earthling line must contact with skin. * 5. The user should wear the two-foot grounder and avoid walking on the area without static protection. |
Application: | Product line, CMOS chip, microprocessor, semiconductor, dish drivers, LCD screen product, circuit product line, precision instrument, optics part and so on. |
An ESD Shoe Grounder (also called an ESD Heel Strap or ESD Foot Grounder) is a device designed to provide a path to ground for static electricity that accumulates on a person while walking. It is commonly used in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protected areas (EPA) where static-sensitive electronics, such as microchips and circuit boards, are handled.
How It Works:
Material & Structure – An ESD shoe grounder consists of a conductive rubber strap that wraps around the sole of the shoe and a grounding ribbon that is inserted into the wearer's sock or touches the skin.
Static Discharge Path – As the person walks on an ESD-safe floor, static electricity from the body flows through the ribbon, down the strap, and safely dissipates into the grounded flooring system.
Continuous Grounding – Unlike wrist straps (which require a wired connection), ESD shoe grounders allow hands-free mobility while maintaining a low-resistance path to ground.
Where It’s Used:
Electronics manufacturing & assembly
Cleanrooms & semiconductor industries
Aerospace & medical device production
Data centers & server rooms
Key Features:
✅ Provides a resistance of 1MΩ (per ESD standards like ANSI/ESD S20.20) to control static discharge.
✅ Works best with ESD flooring (dissipative or conductive surfaces).
✅ Reusable and adjustable for different shoe sizes.
✅ Some models have dual straps to ensure grounding even if one foot is lifted.
